Senses Loss is a piece that focuses on the how people in abusive relationships (with family, friends, significant others, or even drug abuse) have a sense of numbness. While they are in this state of abuse they could feel chained up with no choice but to stay in the situations and as a result start to lose the feelings they had are start considering this abuse the normal.
This concept is shown though the hand cuff being a symbol of being trapped and the fabric element over them is a way of conveying this lose of feeling. When wearing the cuffs when you go to touch or feel something all you feel is the smooth texture of the fabric, a way of numbing your senses.
